Easter is here which is one of my favourite times of year. In Australia it brings autumn and the start of cooling weather. We start to rug up in our sweaters and make comforting foods to compensate for the chill in the air.
The Thermomix makes creating these foods fun, cost effective and easy. The Willoughby team held our Easter cooking class in early March. It was so much fun and we had fantastic feedback from our guests. People loved the tips and said they learned so many new ways to use their Thermomix. Some of my favourite recipes were the ginger beer, chocolate hazelnut spread and hot cross buns.
The ginger beer is so easy nutritious and really tastes the same as the one you buy at the shop. Ginger is warming, good for nausea, travel and morning sickness, and is great for digestion so it’s great for drinking with meals or warming up on a cool day. Click here for the recipe.
Hot cross buns are synonymous with Easter and often bring back lovely childhood memories. Jo at Quirky Cooking has a great gluten, dairy free version. Click here for the recipe.
A lovely pumpkin soup is fantastic for a chilly day. To up the comfort factor, try the Asian variation which adds coconut cream and Asian spices. Very yummy. Click herefor the recipe.

Happy Easter. Many Blessings to you and your family.
